March 21: CHANGE OF LOCATION - Meet at the Valero at the corner of Creighton Road and Rt 156 (Cold Harbor Road), then ride to Damon's on Route 17.Google Map Link

April 18, 2009 NO meeting, ride to Appomattox Surrender Grounds. Meet at Shell station on route 60, about 2 miles west of route 288. Kick stands up at 10:30am. Go west on route 60, left onto route 24 to Surrender Grounds on right.

June 11, 2009 Bobby Mantlo funeral The EZ Road Riders (both current and past members) and the Legion Riders will meet at the 7-11 in Seven Pines at the corner of Beluah Road and Williamsburg Road (Rt 60)  at 10 a.m. to ride as a group to the Sandston Baptist Church for services at 11 a.m.  KICK STANDS UP at 10:10 a.m.

If you are a member of both the EZ Road Riders and a Legion Rider and you do not know which hat to wear you may wear your EZRR shirt as well as your Legion Riders Vest. Bobby was a Legionarrie of Post 242 - Sandston      
                    

Robert W. "Bobby" Mantlo
MANTLO, Robert W. "Bobby", 70, of Sandston, Va., died June 7, 2009. He was born on December 11, 1938 in Richmond, Va. Preceded in death by his son, Robert Britton Mantlo, he is survived by his loving wife, Mary Joyce Mantlo; two sons, Wayne Mantlo and wife, Kathleen, and James J. Mantlo and wife, Vonda; daughter-in-law, Shannon Mantlo; and six grandchildren, David Robert Mantlo, Ayden Wayne Mantlo, Skye Campen, David Morrison, Mackenzie Mantlo and Brannon Mantlo; as well as a large group of extended family and friends. He retired from the Virginia Air National Guard as a Chief Master Sergeant, after completing a 42 year military career and 38 year civil service career. He began his military career with the Air Force Reserve in 1958; during the Berlin Crisis of 1961, he was activated and became a full time Guardsman. Capping a long career with the 192nd Fighter Wing, he served at Virginia Air National Guard Headquarters until his retirement. During his military career, he supervised Aircrew Life Support of the 192 FW and managed Club 149. Local involvement included, charter member, East Henrico Exchange Club, Master Mason, Sandston Lodge 216, EZZR member, Major Thomas E. Benson Post 8529, VFW, and 25 year coach of the Sandston Jets Little League Football. Visitation, Wednesday, June 10, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service at Sandston Baptist Church, 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, followed by interment at Washington Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Families of the Wounded Fund, Inc., c/o Village Bank, P.O. Box 330, Midlothian, Va. 23113.

August 15, 2009 NO meeting, ride to Madison.  Meet at the BP station in Rockville (route 250 and I64 area).  Meet at 10:00am, kickstands up at 10:30am.

August 27, 2009 at 7:30 pm. Executive board meeting on at Awful Arthurs on route 360, next to the Valero station in Mechanicsville.  All members are invited to attend.
